Okinawan Karate Academy , located in West Lebanon, NH. This is the dojo that my son studies Shojin Ryu at. The Sensei, Ken Bladyka is one of the most caring and dedicated teachers I've met.
Wincycle , located in Windsor, Vermont is a non profit organization that takes in electronic waste and refurbishes it for resale or strips it down to recyclable components. My son and I volunteer as "de-construction technicians" (we break things) for the stuff that isn't serviceable and is getting sorted for recycling.
Central Vermont New Hampshire Valley Chapter American Red Cross, headquartered in Berlin, Vermont, provides services for a number of VT and NH communities. I am an instructor and an instructor trainer as well as the "webmaster" for their site. To visit the national organization click here Red Cross
Green Mountain Council , Boy Scouts of America headquartered in Waterbury, Vermont is Vermont's Boy Scout Council. My son got me started in this and have enjoyed watching him grow through the experience, he made Eagle, we both made Vigil in the Order of the Arrow. My son serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster and I am on the Troop Committee for Troop 253 Norwich VT. We are also still very active in the Council's Order of the Arrow Lodge, Ajapeu Lodge
ECFiber , headquartered in White River Junction, Vermont is a non profit, multi community organization that is building a FttH (Fiber to the Home) network. This a really neat project to address the "digital divide" that us less than urban settings are suffering from. Phase 1 will involve 22 towns. I am Hartford's delegate and serve on the executive board as Vice Chair.
